The Blairgowrie Golf Club (Lansdowne)

The Blairgowrie Golf Club (Lansdowne) is an 18-hole championship course in Blairgowrie and Rattray, Scotland, designed by Peter Allis and Dave Thomas and officially opened in 1979. Routed through swathes of pine and silver birch trees, the course places a strong premium on accuracy from the tee. Its smaller greens — compared to its older neighbour — add an extra layer of difficulty, making precision approach play just as important as length off the tee. Lansdowne has proven its championship credentials, having hosted the Scottish Amateur Championship in 2013 and the PGA Championship Final in 2014. Despite the challenge it presents, the course is considered an enjoyable test for golfers of all levels.
