The Berkshire Golf Club (Red)

The Berkshire Golf Club (Red) has hosted The Berkshire Trophy, the English Amateur Championship, the British Seniors Open Championship, the Vagliano Trophy, and several other notable amateur events, making it one of the more tournament-tested heathland layouts in England. Designed by Herbert Fowler and opened in 1928, the 18-hole, par-72 course sits in Winkfield Row, England, United Kingdom. Heather, pine trees, streams, and undulating terrain define the layout throughout. The opening hole sets the tone immediately: a par 3 where the green sits on a mound more than 200 yards away across heather. Hole 17, the par 5, is the longest on the course and is guarded by two deep bunkers. The course is semi-private and rated 4.9 by 90+ Hole19 golfers. The clubhouse includes the Dining Room, which serves a traditional carvery lunch from 12:00 until 16:00. The Main Bar offers smart, comfortable surroundings, with the Herbert Fowler Room available and breakfast served from 07:15.
