Tarina Golf (Vanha) is an 18-hole course in Northern Savonia, Finland, that moves through three distinct stretches of terrain. The opening eight holes play through a parkland-style setting, framed by birch and larch trees with water hazards woven in at measured intervals. From the halfway kiosk, the route shifts onto pine heath, where the fairways narrow and the forest closes in on both sides — accuracy becomes the priority here. The closing stretch, holes 15 to 18, winds through a rolling pond landscape. Significant elevation changes and repeated water carries add pressure, and the finishing hole is a course classic: a strong drive is needed, followed by a long carry over water from an elevated tee down to a green sitting behind the pond below. Finishing groups on the terrace often watch approach shots into the final green, adding an extra layer of atmosphere to the round.
