Description
Tall Pines Golf Club At Woodland Forrest is a semi-private, 18-hole course in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, open to the public. Originally known as Woodland Forrest Country Club, it first opened in 1920 and was redesigned in 1972 by Arthur L. Davis. The course plays to a par-71 over a maximum distance of 6,351 yards, with a course rating of 70.3 and a slope rating of 119. The terrain is hilly, so uneven lies in the fairways are common. Water hazards — ponds, lakes, and creeks — come into play on roughly ten of the 18 holes. The club was taken over in 2014 by an LLC formed to prevent its closure. After a tornado complicated the recovery effort, it was renamed, rebranded, and reopened as a public course in spring 2015.

C.J. JonesOctober 01, 2022In 21 years of playing golf, this is quite possibly the worst conditioned golf course I have ever played, bar none. The greens were completely unplayable. The fairways are hardly maintained, and the quality of the turf bears a greater resemblance to a cow pasture than a golf course. They should hire some goats and cows to eat all the weeds. 0 Stars!
