Steenberg Golf Club

Steenberg Golf Club is a private 18-hole course in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, designed by Peter Matkovich and Hayes across terrain that moves through vineyards, pine forest, waterways, and a mountain stream, with Table Mountain as a backdrop. Two holes stand out in the layout. Hole 7 plays to an island green set into sand and water. Hole 14 holds the largest single green in Southern Africa at 76 meters in length. The course appears in Golf Digest's Annual Top 100 and is rated 4.7 by 90+ Hole19 golfers. Practice facilities include a driving range with 18 dedicated hitting bays for right and left-handed golfers plus eight grass hitting bays on the southern side rotated daily, three putting greens next to the clubhouse, a chipping and bunker facility, and the Eoga Golf Academy. The Terrace Bar serves breakfast, lunch, and early dinner with views over the 18th hole toward Table Mountain. A Halfway House provides light meals, snacks, and specialty coffees on the course. The pro shop is stocked with golfing gear and serves as the reception area for golfers.
