St Andrews Golf & Country Club (Joe Jemsek) is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Illinois, and it's easy to see why. Originally designed by E.B. Dearie, Jr. and built in 1929, this 18-hole championship course — formerly known as the Lakewood course — offers hillier terrain than its sister layout and measures 6,770 yards from the championship tees. Tree-lined fairways and strategically placed sand bunkers demand accuracy throughout, while the long par 3s require careful planning off the tee. The 2nd hole is a standout challenge at 216 yards from the tips, with its green guarded by two deep bunkers and towering trees. Two scenic finishing holes feature approaches over water, adding a memorable test to the closing stretch. Architects Joe Lee and Rockey Roqemore of Atlanta have updated the course over the years, modernizing it to current standards while preserving the integrity of Dearie's original design.
