Southland Golf & Country Club

Southland Golf & Country Club is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Georgia, and it's easy to see why. Designed by William Byrd — who also designed Atlanta Country Club — the course originally opened in 1985 as a private 9-hole layout before expanding to 18 holes in 1989 and later opening to public play. The layout features dramatic elevation changes, natural granite outcroppings, and a 36-acre lake that give it a distinctive, challenging character. Champions Bermuda greens were added in 2011 and run close to 10 on the Stimpmeter in summer, climbing to 11–12 in winter. They are fast and heavily contoured — staying below the hole is strongly advised. Southland is open seven days a week, 364 days a year, closing only on Christmas Day. Tee times start at 7:30 am and can be booked six days in advance for non-members and seven days for members. The course also hosts outings, charity events, and fundraisers, with banquet facilities available for private functions.
