Somerset Farms Golf Course sits on a historic farm property in eastern Orange County, Virginia, along the banks of the Rapidan River with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the north. Located off Route 3, it is about 16 miles west of Fredericksburg and within an hour's drive of both Washington DC and Richmond. The 18-hole layout stretches over 6,500 yards, routing through gently rolling woodlands and wetlands while offering open views of the Virginia countryside. Designed by Tulsa-based architect Jerry Slack, the course blends traditional and links-style play across terrain that preserves the natural areas and wetlands of the property. A slope rating of 138 places it among the more challenging courses in Virginia, though four sets of tees make it accessible to golfers of all skill levels.
