Scioto Country Club

Scioto Country Club, a private parkland course in Upper Arlington, Ohio, was designed by Donald J. Ross and opened in 1916. It has hosted the 1926 National Open, the 1931 Ryder Cup, the 1950 PGA Championship, the 1968 U.S. Amateur Championship, the 1986 and 2016 U.S. Senior Open Championships, and is scheduled to host the 2026 U.S. Senior Open Championship and the 2036 U.S. Amateur Championship. The 18-hole layout features bunkers, a creek, a lake, hummocks, undulating greens, and elevated greens. Hole 2, a slight dogleg-right, was included by golf writer Dan Jenkins among the best holes in America. Hole 5 was named Ocean Waves by Scioto's founders. Hole 8 is considered the course's most picturesque. Scioto Country Club is one of the most-played courses in Ohio on Hole19.
