Schoeman Park Golf Club

Schoeman Park Golf Club, a parkland course in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa, opened in 1904 and plays across clay-based land lined with bluegum trees and tree-lined fairways, with ponds adding further definition across the 18 holes. The layout stretches to 6,500 metres and is semi-private. Hole 4 is a par four with out-of-bounds tight to the right, while hole 18 is a two-shotter carrying a stroke rating of 1. The club has hosted the 1995 Men's Amateur Championship, the 2000 Women's Amateur Championship, the Spoornet Classic, and a Brazil vs Springbok test match in 1975. Head professional Ian Palmer and four assistants offer lessons on site. The bar is regarded as one of the finest 19th holes in the country, featuring wood panelling and honours boards. Schoeman Park Golf Club is one of the most-played courses in Free State on Hole19.
