TJ KeiranNovember 05, 2023This is a nice course in a beautiful setting. I’m a high handicap player and got my lunch handed to me. Here’s a few things you need to know: 1. This is not a course to walk. There are many holes that have long distances from green to tee. 2. On the par 3s, there are drop zones on the green side of the marsh hazards (and you will end up in the hazards). 3. If you are a right handed player, you better have a serious draw shot in your bag. 9 and 10 both have vicious left turns that need this skill. 4. The OB wasn’t fair on some holes because the paint was like 10 feet tighter than the stakes. I was losing strokes even when I was finding my ball and dropping it a few more feet away from the real hazard. Frustrating 5. The back 9 greens were not in good shape (11/4/23). Perhaps a blight or parasite is affecting them, but there were odd holes and repair work. Friendly staff and beautiful scenery make this a must-visit for serious golfers in southern GA and northern FLA. If you are a high handicap player, you will likely not enjoy this tight course.
