Sand Valley Golf Resort (Mammoth Dunes)

Sand Valley Golf Resort (Mammoth Dunes) is the second 18-hole course built at the Wisconsin resort, designed by David McLay Kidd while Coore and Crenshaw were still finishing the original Sand Valley layout nearby. Kidd shaped the course around the property's dramatic natural terrain, featuring enormous fairways, large and accessible greens, and hillsides of exposed sand. Those striking sand formations gave the course its name. The design leans toward the forgiving side, which keeps the round exciting and enjoyable without overwhelming the golfer. The result is a layout that moves through a striking landscape in a way that feels both adventurous and approachable.
