Sand Moor Golf Club

Sand Moor Golf Club is a private heathland course in Leeds, England, designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie and stretching to 6,360 yards over moorland and sandbelt terrain. Rated 4.8 by 60+ Hole19 golfers, it ranks among the more highly regarded MacKenzie designs in the north of England. Four par 3s carry particular weight on the card. Holes 8, 10, and 17 are original MacKenzie designs, and hole 15 adds a further short-hole test to a layout that plays to par 72 across 18 holes. The course has hosted the Car Care Plan International 1983 and the English Under 18 Amateur Championship. A large practice putting green sits adjacent to the first tee. A swing analysis studio with covered bays is also available, with pre-booking through the Pro required. The clubhouse includes a formal dining room serving seasonal dishes and classic favourites alongside a daily bar snacks menu. The bar and lounge area serves fine local cask ales, guest beers, and wines. A large balcony overlooks the 18th green and putting green.
