Sand Creek Country Club

Sand Creek Country Club is a private 27-hole course in Chesterton, Indiana, opened in 1995 and designed by Killian and Nugent, with additional work by Jerry Mobley and Charles Howard. The layout incorporates Sand Creek, Lake Billington, and contends with Lake Michigan winds. Hole 3, a par 4, gives long hitters the option of carrying the eastern edge of the lake from the tee. Hole 4, a par 3, plays 190 yards over water from the back tees to a tiered green. The club has earned Golf Digest's Top 10 courses in Indiana, a Best in Golf award from Links Magazine and Audubon International at the 1996 U.S. Open, the first fully-certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System designation in Indiana, and the Golf Course Superintendent's Association of America's National Environmental Steward Award in 2000. The club has hosted the Northern Amateur. Practice facilities include a driving range, short game area, and lessons available for all members. The clubhouse includes an elegant restaurant with formal and casual settings, indoor and outdoor options, and gourmet dining, alongside a Golf Simulator Room, Health Club with exercise equipment and spa services, and men's and women's locker facilities.
