Description
San Juan Oaks Golf Club, a public 18-hole, par-72 course in California's rolling foothills, was designed by Fred Couples and Gene Bates and opened in 1996. The layout moves through oak-studded hills with meaningful elevation changes throughout the round. Hole 3 is a notable par three that plays uphill to a putting surface split by a distinct internal ridge, with a deep bunker guarding the right side. The course is scheduled to host the 2026 U.S. Amateur Local Qualifying. It has also been voted Best Dining Experience in Benito County 2025. Practice options include an approximately 8,000 square foot putting green, a chipping area with two bunkers, a short game area with two greenside bunkers, and PGA instruction covering private lessons, clinics, and playing lessons. Slices offers a grab-and-go spot for quick bites and refreshments on site.

Aaron ReedJune 14, 2024This course JUST reopened this week or last as of this posting. It was closed for a little over 2 years for a complete renovation of the course and amenities. I played it yesterday June 13th on a VERY WINDY afternoon. Blowing 20+ pretty consistently depending on where you were on the course. The course looks amazing, it's firm throughout the course. The greens are firm as well but fairly receptive depending on the height of approach shot. The greens roll amazing!!!! Had one of the best putting days ever yesterday. Crazy how big a difference smooth clean greens can make on one's game. If you are in the area or shit, even if you aren't (I'm a little over hour away) would recommend playing here! Would play during the week if you can as the new rates are a bit steep for weekends ($175) - I paid $125 for a Wednesday time at Noon. 20 minutes between tee times currently!! Take advantage of the stress free round with having nobody on your booty. If there is, then you are actually playing slow as molasses! NOTE: THE SCORECARD FOR THIS NEEDS TO BE UPDATED AS IT REFLECTS THE COURSE BEFORE THE RENOVATION. THE 9'S HAVE BEEN FLIPPED AND IT PLAYS LONGER NOW.
