Royal Homburger Golf Club (Old)

Royal Homburger Golf Club (Old) has been part of the Kurpark in Bad Homburg, Hesse, for over a hundred years. The Old Course is a 6-hole par-3 layout, with holes ranging from 60 to 120 metres — the kind of distances that sound straightforward on paper. The challenge quickly reveals itself. Greens measure just 30 square metres and are protected by well-placed bunkers, making accuracy far more important than power. A pitch alone will not produce a good score. The course also winds through mature old trees, which frame each hole and add a further layer of precision to every approach. Achieving a par round here is a genuine test despite the compact scale.
