Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro (Arriba)

Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro (Arriba) is an 18-hole course in Madrid with roots going back to 1904, making it one of the city's most historically significant clubs. The original holes were designed by Mr. Colt, with later work carried out by Mr. Simpson. In 1966, additional holes were built and others remodelled by British architect John Harris. The companion Campo de Abajo underwent a full redesign in 1998 by American architect Robert Trent Jones II. On the Arriba course, greens, approaches, fairways, and tees have since been updated, with design work by Trent Jones in collaboration with Kyle Phillips.
