Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro (Abajo)

Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro (Abajo) is one of Madrid's most historic golf clubs, with roots going back to 1904. The original holes were designed by Mr. Colt and later revised by Mr. Simpson, before Mr. John Harris oversaw further construction and modifications in 1966. In 1998, the Abajo course was fully redesigned by American architect Robert Trent Jones II. Together with its companion Arriba layout, each stretching to 18 holes, both courses are kept in excellent condition and offer fine views from the fairways.
