Quail Creek Golf & Country Club

Hole 17 at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club was ranked one of the Best 18 Holes in the United States by Sports Illustrated in 1965 — a distinction that reflects the course's standing since Floyd Farley designed it in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, opening in 1961. The 18-hole private layout works through bunkers, creeks, lakes, ponds, elevated greens, swales, and doglegs. Hole 12 is regarded as one of the best par 3s in the state. The course has hosted the Oklahoma City Open from 1962 to 1968 — including the 1964 edition won by Arnold Palmer and the 1966 edition won by Tony Lema — along with the Southwestern Bell Golf Classic in 1987, the Silver Pages from 1988 to 1990, and the Heartland Pro-Am in 1995. A short game area is available for practice. The Champion's Lounge serves family dining with chef specials and craft cocktails. The Golf Shop carries an extensive selection of equipment, clothing, and accessories. Additional amenities include a newly-renovated Fitness Center, a Tennis Center, poolside dining from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and a ballroom accommodating up to two hundred guests.
