Prospect Vale Golf Club

Prospect Vale Golf Club is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Tasmania, and its history gives it a character few courses can match. The club traces its roots to 1996, when Ian and Marjorie McFarlane built a course at Hagley, around 20 minutes west of Launceston. The inaugural board of what was then Quamby Golf Club Inc. held its first meeting in July 1997, and the first official competition followed in December of that year. In February 1998 the club registered with the Northern Tasmanian Golf Association and the Tasmanian Golf Council. When the Hagley property was sold in 2005, members voted to relocate, and Country Club Tasmania has been the home of Prospect Vale Golf Club ever since, with competitive play resuming there in January 2006. Today the club offers a full 18-hole layout in Prospect Vale, carrying forward a founding story built on community effort and a shared love of the game.
