Prairie Dunes Country Club

Prairie Dunes Country Club plays 18 holes across sand dunes, rolling hills, and native desert prairie grass in Kansas, United States. Perry Maxwell designed the course, which opened in 1937 as a private links layout. The terrain shapes every hole, with dunes and prairie grass framing the routing throughout. Rankings reflect the course's standing: Golf Digest ranked it #23 in America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses for 2023-2024, Golf Week placed it #11 among Best Classic Courses for 2020-2021, and Golf Magazine listed it #18 in the Top 100 Courses in the U.S. and #31 in the Top 100 Courses in the World. The club has hosted the US Women's Open (2002), US Senior Open (2006), US Women's Amateur (1964, 1980, 1991), Curtis Cup Matches (1986), US Mid Amateur (1988), Men's NCAA Championship (2014), and multiple editions of the Trans Miss and Big 12 Men's Golf Championships. Member facilities include indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, an indoor fitness center, an outdoor pool, and lodging accommodations.
