PottGolf Oberhausen

PottGolf Oberhausen is a 9-hole public course built on the grounds of the former Zeche Jacobi colliery in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The idea of creating an accessible golf course for everyone took shape in 1999, and what followed was a demanding construction project on challenging ground conditions. The sealed subsoil required to build on the old industrial site places constant demands on the greenkeeping team, who work hard to keep the course in good shape — and largely succeed. The central location within the city also means some operational limits apply, such as no green mowing on Sundays out of consideration for nearby residents.
