Pinheiros Altos Golf Course is a 27-hole layout in the Algarve, Portugal, made up of three distinct 9-hole courses: the Corks, the Olives, and the Pines. The Corks is regarded as the most challenging of the three, featuring hilly terrain and tight fairways running alongside luxury villas. It closes with four particularly demanding holes, making a strong finish here the key to a good scorecard. The Olives, established in 1992, sits within the Ria Formosa nature reserve. Its relatively flat terrain is offset by lakes on nearly every hole and abundant wildlife. Its standout moment is the par-3 8th, an island-green hole that tends to define any round played here. The Pines course blends original holes with four newer ones added in 2007. The Corks and Olives combination is widely considered the most demanding pairing on offer.
