It’s island golf, so chill out and swing easy. Two sets of tees make it an 18 hole, but a lazy 9 is just fine. If you expect a basic muni you’ll have fun. Water is conserved on the island, so later in the summer some fairways get hard and patchy brown. Not an issue if you play for the bounce. Pro shop is well stocked and very friendly.

A country course. Unwatered, rock hard fairways, uneven greens, made up for by low key vibe and beautiful views. Put away your driver, aim for the top of the slope, and smile, it’s Orcas Island
