Northern Ark Golf Club

Northern Ark Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside and woodland course in Kitami, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. The layout sits within a tree-rich area that feels worlds apart from the surrounding rural farmland, despite being just a short step inside. The terrain is largely flat with gentle gradients, and the design makes effective use of ponds and bunkers to create a strategic test. The front nine plays through low, wooded hills with abundant trees framing each hole. The back nine continues the green, forested character but raises the stakes with water — every one of its nine holes involves either a pond or a creek. The design remains orthodox enough that players can identify their targets clearly on each shot. Greens feature notable undulation and reward careful reading.
