North Jersey Country Club

North Jersey Country Club is a private 18-hole course in Wayne, New Jersey, designed by Walter Travis and opened in 1923. It was named Club of the Year by the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association in 2020. The layout features elevation changes, undulating fairways, deep bunkering, and complex green surfaces. Hole 1 is a par 5 with multiple tiers on the green. Hole 5 is the number 1 handicap hole, a long par 4 playing uphill. Hole 6 plays to a punchbowl-style green with a large mound in the middle. The course has hosted the New Jersey Open (1995) and the NJSGA Four Ball Championship (1972). The club provides lessons and clinics available to all golfers. The pro shop carries the latest in fashion and equipment. Dining includes casual and formal fine dining options. Additional amenities include a fully equipped fitness center, tennis and paddle tennis courts, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and banquet facilities.
