Newport Golf Club

Newport Golf Club sits in the Sugar River Valley, serving golfers in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region of New Hampshire. The par 71, Phil Wogan-designed layout spans 143 acres and has been recognized by NH Golf Magazine as a hidden gem just minutes from Lake Sunapee Harbor. The course makes full use of its natural setting, with surrounding mountains, streams, and ponds framing all 18 holes. The Sugar River runs through the property, enriching the soil and supporting bent grass greens, tees, and fairways widely regarded as among the best in the region. The variety in the layout comes from its contrasting terrain. Portions of the course were carved from a mature forest of pine, hemlock, oak, maple, cherry, and white birch, while other holes were built on open pastureland. That contrast gives the front and back nine a noticeably different character, adding depth to the overall round.
