Mount Pleasant Country Club is a historic 18-hole layout in Mount Pleasant, Texas, with roots dating back to a Perry Maxwell design from 1939. The original nine holes carry the character of their era and have tested golfers of all levels for decades. Notable players including Buster Cupit, Jacky Cupit, Dr. Kennedy, and Betty MacKinnon developed their games here, and the historic nine was once ranked sixth among nine-hole courses in Texas by the Dallas Morning News. A second nine was added in 2000. Shorter in length, it presents demanding tee shots and doglegs that require a precise swing to score well. Throughout the round, golfers play across natural terrain around Town Lake, with generous fairways and TifEagle greens that reward accurate approach shots.
