Moose Run Golf Course (Hill)

Rated among the top courses in Alaska, Moose Run Golf Course (Hill) in Anchorage has earned recognition from Golf Digest as 'Best In State #2' and a place on Golfweek's 'Best Places You Can Play' list, with a further Golf Digest 'Best in State' nod in 2015. The 18-hole municipal layout stretches to 6,492 yards across gently rolling hills lined with spruce and birch trees. Water hazards come into play on two holes, and hole 4 is a par 3 requiring a forced carry. The course has hosted a wide calendar of events including the Summer Solstice, Men's and Women's Club Championship, Junior Club Championship, and the Ironman Tough Day, among others. Practice options are extensive: a driving range with 36 stalls (12 covered) and targets at varying yardages, two putting greens near the clubhouse, and two chipping and pitching areas on the Hill Course side. Get Golf Ready instruction from a PGA or LPGA Professional is available for new adult golfers. The Grizzly Grill Snack Bar serves on-site, open 11am to 2pm seven days a week. Opened in 1952, this is a public course with a long track record in the Anchorage golf community.
