Maple Moor Golf Course

Maple Moor Golf Course takes its name from the abundance of maple trees found across the property, which was originally part of the Griffen family farm. Howard J. Griffen settled the land in 1879, building a cider mill and a four-story barn. His son later served as mayor of White Plains. The 18-hole course was designed by Tom Winton. When Westchester County Parks Commission acquired the property in 1925, a 9-hole layout was already in place; the full 18 holes opened to the public by the end of 1927. The grounds also include practice greens, and the clubhouse features a catering facility. Rated 4.3 by Hole19 golfers, Maple Moor is one of the most-played courses in New York on Hole19.
