Long Vien Golf Club

Long Vien Golf Club, located in Vientiane Prefecture, Laos, is the country's first 27-hole golf course. Built on essentially flat ground, the layout relies on manmade mounding, water features, and sharp-lipped bunker complexes to create its challenges. Wide fairways run between mature trees, flowering plants, and red-grass water areas, while an all-Paspalum turf ensures reliable playing conditions throughout the year. From the back tees, the par-72 layout stretches to 7,538 yards. The 27 holes are divided into two distinct personalities. The East Course winds through a series of lakes and forested areas, with water hazards guarding the greens and demanding careful club selection on approach shots. The West Course is more open but compensates with a heavier bunker presence and undulating fairways.
