Description
Langston Golf Course sits on Benning Road in Washington, D.C., at the end of the DC Street Car Line. Named after John Mercer Langston, the first African American elected to public office, the course holds a significant place in African American heritage. The 18-hole layout is hilly and considered one of the best publicly owned courses in the district. It is also the only golf course in the city with water hazards. Two par-5s measuring over 500 yards make this a genuine challenge, though Family Tees provide relief for beginners. The course can be played as a full 18 or a shorter 9-hole round. Facilities include a driving range and The Langston Grille on site. Rated 4.2 by Hole19 golfers, with over 80 reviews on the platform.
