Lancaster Golf Club

Rated 4.7 by 50+ Hole19 golfers, Lancaster Golf Club is one of the more highly regarded parkland courses in England, United Kingdom. Designed by James Braid and opened in 1932, the semi-private layout runs to 6,512 yards at par 71. Elevated tees, a ravine, water, sand bunkers, and a seaward aspect shape the terrain. The ninth is a classic dogleg, the seventeenth — known as Braids Best — is among Braid's own favourites, and the eighteenth plays from an elevated tee over a ravine of rough ground, water, and sand to a green guarded by an oak tree and four bunkers. The course has hosted the Lancashire County Championship. Practice facilities include a driving range, a short-game practice area, and Golf Clinic and Lessons with a PGA Professional. The well-stocked PGA Professional's Shop is on site. The Ashton Hall restaurant serves bar snacks, Sunday lunches, afternoon teas, and silver service dining in the Ashton Suite. The Spike Bar carries beer, wines, spirits, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and cakes, with Sky Sports TV. Accommodation runs to 12 en-suite bedrooms for up to 18 guests, and an indoor golf simulator is also available.
