Garstang Country Hotel & Golf Course is an 18-hole parkland course in England, designed by PGA master professional Richard Bradbeer and opened in 1992. The front nine follows the Rivers Calder and Wyre, where water comes into play as both a visual feature and a genuine challenge. The back nine opens up with long par 4s and a par 5 that demands length off the tee, while undulating greens keep the short game honest throughout. At par 68 and 6,115 yards, the layout suits a range of abilities. Open fairways and forgiving rough give beginners room to find their feet, while bunkers and water hazards are placed strategically enough to test intermediate players. Jamaal StandingDecember 28, 2025Course has gone down hill over the years. Not worth playing after September as they seem to stop cutting the grass from the start of October making it impossible to find balls on the fairway. Shame as it used to be a good course to play all year round.
Michael ChamberlainAugust 20, 2024Thoroughly enjoyable 18 hole course. Some tricky holes with a few hazards such as meandering rivers curling in and out of approaches or very deep dips to avoid. Some say forgiving, others too much choice on approaches elsewhere. Fairways very wide so less chance of losing a ball but could possibly tempt the unseasoned golfer to play wider shots and therefore longer holes. Course very well maintained and would recommend to any golfer.
