Lake Valley Golf Club

Lake Valley Golf Club hosted the 2016 USGA Senior Open Qualifying and the Holes of Hope tournament, signaling the kind of course that earns competitive attention. Designed by Press Maxwell and opened in 1965, this 18-hole, par-70 private links layout in Colorado's foothills plays from 2,896 to 6,891 yards across terrain defined by push-up greens, a natural feel, and views of the Flatirons. Abundant wildlife is a regular presence throughout the round. Practice options are extensive. A two-sided grass tee driving range includes fairway bunkers and numerous targets alongside an artificial turf tee line. A quarter-acre putting green and a 70-yard short game area with two greenside bunkers and varied grasses round out the practice grounds. Golf lessons and club fitting are available from the professional staff and are open to members and the public. The Persimmon Grill serves members and the public Tuesday through Sunday, 11 AM to 8 PM, with a full menu and seasonal specials prepared by chef Paul Stoltz. Beverage service runs Mondays noon to 7 PM, and a Snack Shack is open Mondays 10 AM to 3 PM.
