Lahinch Golf Club (Old)

Lahinch Golf Club (Old) sits on the Atlantic coast of Lahinch, County Clare, Ireland, a links course laid out across sand dunes and natural links terrain that has been shaped by three designers across more than a century. Old Tom Morris first laid out the 18 holes in 1892. Dr. Alister MacKenzie revised the layout, and Dr. Martin Hawtree made further changes in later years. Two holes from the Morris era remain landmarks: the par-5 4th, known as the Klondyke, and the par-3 5th, the Dell. The course is semi-private and rated 4.8 by 60+ Hole19 golfers. It is scheduled to host the 2026 Walker Cup. Practice facilities include seven putting greens within 100 yards of the first tee, plus a Short Game Academy and Indoor Performance Centre equipped with TrackMan4, SAM PuttLab, SAM Balance Lab, slow-motion video analysis, Puttview, and fitness equipment, led by PGA professional Donal McSweeney. The Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant by Wild serves an extensive daytime and evening dinner menu using fresh local produce. A newly refurbished Golf Shop carries all major brands, and locker room facilities with day lockers are available.
