El Campo Sur ha sido sede de multitud de torneos profesionales de primer nivel, como varios Opens de España, campeonatos de clasificación de la PGA y varios tours europeos. Tiene casi 6.500 metros desde las salidas blancas, con obstáculos de agua en 15 de sus 18 hoyos y pocos peligros ocultos. Los nueve primeros hoyos son particularmente complicados, con dos par 3 sobre 200 metros y unos retadores par 4 que exigen conducir el juego entre lagos y búnkers. Los segundos nueve hoyos, aunque más cortos, tienen varios dogleg.

Flag colours to indicate hole location was good (until the last which was guess work as it was a Spanish flag) Unfortunately on my round some holes with large GUR areas so had to keep cart to path, low water levels in the hazards took away from the view of the holes. Damage on 18th green was a surprise too as it’s outside the main building.
