Kuusamo Golf

Kuusamo Golf is an 18-hole course opened in 2013, set within the boreal forest of Petäjäkangas in northern Finland, surrounded by nine natural ponds at around 260 metres above sea level — making it the highest course in the country. The layout makes excellent use of the terrain. Wide, well-separated fairways keep play smooth and safe, while large greens offer challenge without being punishing. The elevation changes are used to great effect: from the tee box of hole 10, at 280 metres, you can see ten different holes and four ponds at once. The course sits exactly on the 66th latitude, just 60 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle, meaning the midnight sun allows round-the-clock play during summer. Golf Cafe Breikki sits at the highest point of the course area, and Hotel Holiday Club Kuusamon Tropiikki is located immediately nearby.
