Santa Claus Golf - Ounasvaaran Golfpuisto is an 18-hole course set at the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, Lapland, at the foot of the Ounasvaara fell. The first nine holes were designed by Pekka Simula in 1997, with golf architect Lassi Pekka Tilander completing the layout in 2011. The course winds through forested hillsides, offering a relaxed round for beginners while the narrow holes and changes in elevation provide a genuine test for more experienced players, particularly from the back tee. From the top of the Ounasvaara fell, there are wide views down to the valleys of the Kemijoki and Ounasjoki rivers.
