Kumamoto Aso Golf Club Yunotani is an 18-hole course in Minamiaso, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, that carries a notable history of recovery and renewal. Following the Kumamoto earthquake, the course was forced to close and underwent four years of extensive restoration work before fully reopening. The redesign honored the original vision of celebrated golf course architects Seiichi Inoue and Yoten Yasuda, whose philosophy centered on harmony with the natural landscape. The restored layout emerged as a more refined and appealing course while staying true to that founding spirit. Safety has been a priority throughout the rebuild, and state-of-the-art facilities have been introduced alongside the restored holes.
