Knollwood Country Club

Knollwood Country Club, located in Elmsford, New York, is an 18-hole course with a design history that spans three celebrated architects. Originally laid out in 1894 by Lawrence Van Etten at around 5,300 yards, the course was later reshaped when A.W. Tillinghast was retained in 1925. He was succeeded by Seth Raynor, who died before the work was finished, leaving his protégé Charles Banks to complete the project in 1927. All three are credited with the current design. The round opens with purpose and builds to a memorable par-4 18th hole. A short par-three 19th hole is also available — useful for settling unresolved business after the round. In the fall of 2016, the club completed a restoration that included bunker and tree work, an extended 10th tee, and a redesigned 12th green and 13th tee complex. The course now measures 6,532 yards.
