Description
Kiva Dunes Golf Course, a public links-style layout in Alabama, United States, was designed by Jerry Pate and opened in 1995. The 18-hole course plays between 5,000 and 7,100 yards across dunes, native grasses, wetland vegetation, and waste bunkers. The course drew early recognition when Golf Digest voted it #2 Best Resort Course in the United States in 1995. It has since been ranked #1 public golf course in Alabama by Golf Advisor (2017), rated #48 in NBC Golfer's Choice (2021), and recognized as Best of Bama 2023–2026 (Best Golf Course for 2026) and Best of Baldwin 2025 (Best Golf Course in Baldwin County). It is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Alabama. The Kiva Grill, located in Kiva Lodge, is open to the public for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving southern breakfast, burgers, and steak dinner, with a bar on site. The Golf Shop in Kiva Lodge carries merchandise from Footjoy, Turtleson, Travis Matthew, Pukka, and Adidas.

They do not offer food at the turn - for the price the round wasn’t that exceptional. No amenities really offered - Bev cart only offered chips, candy bars, and crackers for food.
