The layout moves through rolling countryside with mature trees, small ponds, water hazards, and dramatic bunkering throughout. It has been recognised as Best Parkland Course in the greater Dublin area and Parkland Golf Course of the Year 2025. The course hosted the 2011 Solheim Cup and the Ladies Irish Open from 2010 to 2012, and is scheduled to host the Irish Challenge in 2025, 2026, and 2027.
