Description
Designed by David Jones, Kilimanjaro Golf & Wildlife Estate is an 18-hole semi-private course in the Arusha Region, Tanzania, set through African bush land threaded with lakes, streams, waterfalls, and cascades. The routing makes consistent use of water. Hole 1 opens beside a lake edged with acacias. Hole 2 runs the full length of one of the course's largest lakes. Hole 9 is a par five played along a stream on the left, with a choice to lay up or carry the green across the lake. Hole 18 closes with a par three requiring a bold approach to an island green. Yardage plays from 5,400m to 6,500m. The driving range looks out toward Mt Kilimanjaro. The bar serves cocktails and a pizza menu on weekends.
