Karen Country Club, a private 18-hole course in Nairobi, Kenya, opened in 1937 on land that was once a coffee plantation — shade trees from that era still line the layout. The terrain takes in wetlands, indigenous forest, flowering shrubs, and a backdrop of the Ngong Hills. Water features come into play on holes 12, 14, and 18.
