Kiawah Island Golf Resort (Oak Point)

Kiawah Island Golf Resort (Oak Point) is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in South Carolina, and it's easy to see why. Designed by noted Southeastern architect Clyde Johnston on the grounds of a former cotton and indigo plantation, the 18-hole layout takes full advantage of its surroundings along the Kiawah River and Haulover Creek, with rolling terrain shaped through a maritime forest setting. Undulating fairways and challenging greens define the character of the course, while the proximity to water adds both visual interest and strategic weight. Kiawah Island Golf Resort acquired Oak Point in 1997 to complete a five-course championship rotation. A full renovation in 2015 brought a Paspalum playing surface and meaningful design changes that elevated Oak Point to the same championship standard as the resort's other courses.
