Ipswich Golf Club was founded in 1895, originally at Rushmere Heath, before relocating to Purdis Heath where golf has been played since 1926. The main 18-hole Purdis Heath Course was designed by legendary architect James Braid. The Bixley Course was added forty years later, sharing the same heathland terrain as its larger companion. The club extends a warm welcome to visitors, societies, and prospective members alongside its established membership.
