Indian Wells Golf Resort (Players)

Indian Wells Golf Resort (Players) is a 9-hole course in Indian Wells, California, designed by John Fought and opened in November 2007. Fought drew on the classic American design tradition, shaping sculpted bunkers in a style reminiscent of Riviera, Winged Foot, and the courses Dr. Alister MacKenzie created near Melbourne, Australia. A defining feature of the design is how Fought wove existing mature trees from the original property into the layout, giving the course the character of an established, older facility while applying a modern design sensibility. Most holes are oriented to frame views of the San Jacinto, Santa Rosa, and San Bernardino mountain ranges, with Eisenhower Mountain standing to the south.
