Horai Country Club

Horai Country Club is an 18-hole course in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, set across a vast, flat expanse of land framed by large red pine forests and panoramic views in every direction. The terrain allows for year-round play on evergreen turf, and the generous layout means individual holes are kept well apart from one another — a deliberate design choice that gives each round a sense of space and privacy, with no risk of errant balls from neighbouring holes. The course has a notable competitive history, having hosted the Japan Golf Tour Championship for three consecutive years from 2000 to 2002. It was also ranked 5th in the 2002 Japan Best 100 Golf Courses list by Golf Classic magazine, reflecting the high regard in which it has long been held.
