Description
Hopeman Golf Club, designed by Tom MacKenzie and opened in 1985, is an 18-hole public links course in Hopeman, Scotland, United Kingdom. The layout runs across coastal cliff terrain lined with gorse, broom, heather, and bunkers. Hole 12 is a par 3 of 150 yards where the green sits in Clashach Cove, more than 100 feet below the tee, protected by two bunkers. The pro shop stocks golf buggies, trolleys, and clubs for hire. The Mashie Niblick restaurant serves freshly cooked homemade food including Cullen Skink, Brunch Burger, and Sunday roasts, with pensioners and junior menus alongside buffet options for parties and outings. The clubhouse is also available for private functions.

Kev DouglasJune 20, 2020Hopeman is best described as a pure Gem of the Highlands set in to the very scenic views of the Moray Firth. Don’t be at all surprised to see bottle nose dolphins as you take in the views looking down from the 360.deg panoramic views of the magnificent 12th “ Preisach” par 3 . I’ve even seen the black gilimonts diving in on the fish. In terms of play if you want results you can let rip with the driver “ if you’re confident and accurate “. Safe iron play will treat you well. I’ve been a member switching between Moray golf course in Lossiemouth and Hopeman, there is something very unique about Hopeman that makes my gut Home Course feeling belong to Hopeman due to ease of getting on for a game. The wonderful club house staff with fantastic food to replenish you after your game and above all the standard of the greens and general overall condition of the course vs it’s financial balance is amazing, I personally rate Hopeman greens as the best in Moray. Hopeman is improving its course lay out and hopefully soon another Par 5 would be well received to balance out the figures of the course. 9 out of 10. Great course and a must if your passing through on a we golfing tour of the highlands and Moray.
